Wax Content Testing Methods

Visual Observation Method:

1. For the same weight, the larger the volume and the fuller the packaging, the higher the wax content.

2. Take cups of equal volume, fill them with granules, and weigh them. The lighter sample has a higher wax content.

   • Wax has a high density and light texture, while calcium powder has a lower density but heavier texture.

Burning Method:

1. Place 100 grams of the granule lubricant into an iron container.

2. Use a blowtorch to burn thoroughly until the granules fully volatilize into white calcium powder.

3. Weigh the remaining white calcium powder.

4. For example, if 100 grams of granules produce 45 grams of white calcium powder, it means 55 grams of wax have volatilized, indicating a wax content of 55%.
